Ideal Location

A small, friendly guest-house, conveniently situated in the heart of Bournemouth, which has been family run since 1986 so we must be doing something right.

The Town Centre is just a few minutes walk away with shops, restaurants, clubs and bars. You will also find two cinemas (ABC and Odeon) plus the Pavilion theatre and the Bournemouth International Centre (B.I.C.) where big name concerts and shows are staged.

Bournemouth Beach is the biggest and widest in the UK and has also been voted "the best beach in UK" for 60 years. The several miles of glorious sandy beaches are located just a few minutes walk from the Double Four guest-house. The beach has won six seaside awards and four European blue flags and hosts top events throughout the year. In August there is a spectacular fireworks display every Friday night for your entertainment. At any time you will find things to do or see including Bournemouth Pier, the Oceanarium and Shockwave speedboat rides.

Sandbanks Beach is located in neighbouring Poole just a few miles by car or one of the many open top buses available from Bournemouth in the summer. It's regarded by many as the "Miami of the South" with stunning views and the most expensive real estate in UK. There are plenty of action sports on hand including canoes, pedalos, jet skis, water-skiing, wind and kite surfing and even ringos.

Boscombe Beach has Europe's first artificial surf reef that comes into it's own every summer. It is a great place to take a relaxing walk along the promenade or hop on a land train.

Studland Beach is one of the most glorious beaches with four miles of golden sand with a designated nudist area encompassing dunes and heathland and is quieter than beaches closer to town. To get there take the chain ferry from Sandbanks to Shell bay.

Being close to all these amenities, you can find ample street parking or a pay & display car park nearby and if you prefer we can arrange reserved car parking.
